Every startup has a unique origin story, and ours is no different. It all began with three years of working together in a team, where we not only learned technical skills but also became close friends. In this short article, we’ll take you through the inception of our side project, sharing how our journey began.
Learning and Growing
We are 4 souls who have worked side-by-side as a team since 2017. Throughout the years, we gained the skills and a deep understanding of what it means to work together cohesively. Our teamwork is great, and we knew we had something special. We encountered many challenges along the way, but we used those challenges to learn and grow together. We learned to trust each other and to be honest with our feelings, which has been the most important lesson.
The Spark
It was during a casual conversation last August 2022 that Armand, our team lead, shared his idea for a mobile app (Why POS?). Having pondered it for some time, he felt it could provide an alternative to what already exists on the market. Armand’s enthusiasm was infectious, and we all felt a spark of excitement.
With Armand’s idea as the catalyst, we decided to delve deeper. We spent hours brainstorming, discussing the app’s concept, and how we could turn it into reality. These sessions were filled with creativity, excitement, and a shared vision of what this project could become.
Roles and Collaborating
As our idea began to take shape, we recognized the importance of assigning roles and responsibilities. Now that we work in different companies, this is a side project of ours that we can still work on as a team. Different experiences lead to a variety of perspectives, which leads to multiple ideas. Each of us brought unique skills and expertise to the table, and we wanted to leverage these strengths. We carefully distributed tasks, ensuring everyone had a vital role.
The Journey Begins
In September 2022, we began the development of our mobile app. By buying a domain name and building a website, we also started creating our brand. With our roles defined and a clear plan in place, we officially embarked on our journey. This was a leap of faith, and one that will take time, but one we took together with unwavering confidence. We knew that our years of collaboration and friendship would be the bedrock of this project’s success.

The inception of our startup team was not just the birth of an entrepreneurship but also the realization of a vision we had been casually talking about for some time. Our journey from colleagues to co-founders (has a nice ring to it) is just getting started. Marked by the lessons we learned, the bonds we formed, and the passion that drives us forward.
